Minor imbalances in the magnet and the way it spins on the shaft can be hard to diagnose. The only thing you can do is make sure the assembly is clean and no grain of sand (if you use it) is in the assembly. The noise is NOT the water flowing and making a waterfall noise due to the water level being low, that would not bug me at all.
