They don't really serve a purpose when they're open, they're basically just a restriction in the port. If nothing else, they probably create a little turbulence in the air right before it hits the intake valves - not a good thing IMO. Witryna23 cze 2007 · The IMRCs are installed between the intake manifold. Their purpose is to provide the cylinders with a high velocity intake charge at rpm levels below 3250. This is accomlished by blocking the secondary intake port with a butterfly valve that is opened and closed by the IMRC controll which is mounted to the bottom of the intake manifold.

The ?intake manifold runner sensor? voltage is the data log is showing 4.98v but I have no IMRC valves or none of the pigtails connected to anything. All of the hardware has been removed.
